Eltron Card Printer Products/Zebra Technologies' goal was to break outside its core audience of security and auto identification solution providers and penetrate other businesses that could benefit from computer-generated loyalty and membership cards such as beauty salons/spas, hotels/restaurants and law enforcement agencies.

Kraves Ronstadt PR scoured piles of product registration cards to identify customers who were using their Eltron system for loyalty, frequent buyer and membership programs. Appropriate customers were initially screened until a handful of enthusiastic spokespeople from a range of vertical market categories were selected.

After further in-depth interviews with each customer, we wrote and edited success stories documenting how the loyalty and membership cards made with Eltron printers were helping users drive sales and grow their businesses. Once the application stories were complete, KRPR hit the phones, pitching top trade publications for each industry.
Kraves Ronstadt PR placed the cases in Salon Today, the leading beauty salon trade publication; Law Enforcement Technology; Big Ideas for Smaller Police Departments; and Hospitality Technology. Immediately after the stories were placed, Kraves Ronstadt PR received calls from journalists whose readers had contacted them asking how and where they could purchase an Eltron card printer.
